I partnered with Airbnb to test run their new London experiences offering. They have so many great experiences to choose from and I think it's a great way to try something new if you're going away for a weekend or even just to enjoy in your home city. After reading through the list of experiences I decided to book "Flowers with not your average florists." The description explained that our day would include flower crown making, tea, and cake which are some of my favourite things! I invited the lovely Miranda Mills of Miranda's Notebook along. We started the morning at Frizzante cafe at Hackney City Farm where our lovely host organised tea and coffee for the group. We enjoyed our drinks while our host explained a which flowers would be best for making flower crowns. We then headed out to Columbia Road flower market just a short walk away. Columbia Road is one of my favourite places to visit on a Sunday. It is definitely worth the trip if you are visiting London. The road is full of flower stalls and boutiques as well as some great cafes. Miranda and I visited Lily Vanilli for some delicious cupcakes.
After choosing our flowers we headed to the Flower Appreciation Society Studio for some flower crown making. The studio is so charming with gorgeous vases and lots of natural light. The actual flower crown making was quite relaxing and it was nice to chat to the other ladies in the group. It was also wonderful learning a new skill.
It was a really lovely morning and I'd recommend this London experience to anyone interested in flowers.
